Derek & Linda have enjoyed thirty-three years of marriage,
and have two children, Adam (31) and Victoria (29). Adam has three boys, Joshua (6), Isaac (4), Sam (1) and is married to Faye.
Derek worked in retail management for almost 25 years, latterly for Greggs the Bakers. At the point of being appointed sales manager for Greggs, Cardiff, he chose instead to obey the Lord’s call into full-time Christian ministry.
Derek is currently chair of governors of Heaton Primary School and also a member of the temporary governing body of Chellow Heights Co-located Special School. He was co-founder of the Christian Youth Centre in Akunza Migili, nr. Lafia, Nasarawa State, Nigeria and, more locally, was for a time Chaplain to the Toller Lane Division of West Yorkshire Police. His most recent appoinment has been to the position of Chair of the Parish Council of Sandy Lane, Bradford. They moved to live in Sandy Lane in 2004.
Prior to starting a family, Linda worked as a Retail Travel Consultant. She is now responsible for developing the women's ministry at CCF, and is a sought-after speaker at local conferences and prayer breakfasts.
Derek & Linda were called into ministry as a couple, and continue to work together as a team. They have over twenty years experience of children’s work (still a part of their calling) and have spent the last twelve years planting a new work in the Haworth Road area of Bradford, West Yorkshire.
They both serve as Pastors of what is now known as Chellow Christian Fellowship. Their vision is to see CCF grow by multiplication, planting further churches in and around North Bradford, and take on an international dimension too. They are currently pursuing a call of God to extend the work of CCF into the nearby town of Bingley, initially through developing small businesses on Kingdom principles.
